From Insight to Action: Advanced Skills in Navigating Workplace Conflict with SCARF, Looping & Active Listening

This workshop offers a deeper, hands-on exploration of conflict resolution strategies. Participants will dive into the SCARF model—examining how psychological triggers shape workplace dynamics—and actively practice looping and active listening through guided exercises.

This interactive session is designed to translate awareness into action, equipping attendees with the practical skills and confidence needed to manage conflict constructively and promote inclusive communication.

Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of conflict dynamics and practical skills to manage disputes professionally. By applying these strategies, they can foster better workplace relationships, improve communication, and enhance overall team cohesion.

A journalist, documentary filmmaker, and co-founder of Good Conflict, she helps leaders, teams and communities rewrite the script on conflict—transforming tension into something useful. She has trained 2,000+ journalists worldwide, teaching them how to cover divisive issues without fueling the fire. Hélène’s work has taken her from South Sudan to Camden, NJ—from award-winning newsrooms in New York to collaborations with CBS, NPR, and PBS. Her love for storytelling is generational, passed down from her Nkoko, the Biandudi family’s oral historian in Kinshasa, DRC.
