The Black Women/WOC panel will be moderated by Angela Douglas and the White women panel will be moderated by Karen King.

The questions will be framed with the intension of  probing, and unpacking the ways oppressive systems of  structural white  male  supremacy  operate,  including the  ways women internalize these oppressive systems  and the  ways women  can challenges,  deconstruct/dismantle  these  white supremacists  patriarchal systems through intersectional accomplice allyship.

Career Movement “Real Talk” for Women -Taletha Best

Description: Career success for women doesn’t happen by itself. For most women, it’s a process that requires determination, discovery, and development. And everyone’s path is distinct; there is no one, single route to “career success” that works for everyone.  You might be wondering what you should do as you learn about the many different approaches employed by women who’ve achieved success. The learning objectives of this workshop are to:

  • Explore and respond to the realities, challenges and opportunities for women advancing in the workplace.
  • Use a model to focus thinking and actions for maximum effectiveness.
  • Create a “blueprint” that will focus on your brand, advocating for yourself, the community of people who can support/guide you, and actions you can take to manage your career.
